IBCS Approved Chiropractic specialty boards require those who are board certified to remain current and up to date on their education by following guidelines for continuing their professional development. Current, Board Certified Chiropractic Specialists must also be re-tested periodically.
IBCS Credentialed Chiropractic Physicians who go above and beyond their continuing education requirements are eligible to receive the Chiropractic Physician Excellence Award.
Educational Content of IBCS Approved Continuing Education
Type I.
Live or virtual (synchronous) non-promotional educational CE programs certified for credit by the IBCS or IBCS Approved Education Provider.
Type II.
Live or virtual (synchronous) non-promotional educational CE programs applied for by the individual practitioner.
Type III.
Distance Education (asynchronous) non-promotional educational CE programs certified for credit by the IBCS or IBCS Approved Education Provider.
Type IV.
Live, virtual (synchronous), or Distance Education (asynchronous) promotional educational CE programs certified for credit by the IBCS or IBCS Approved Education Provider.
Type V.
Live, virtual (synchronous), or Distance Education (asynchronous) promotional educational CE programs applied for by the individual practitioner.
